Autumn in Liptov: mountains, quiet and a hot tub under the Tatras
When the summer crowds are gone and the forests of the Jánska valley turn gold and copper, Liptov shows its calmest face. Morning mist over the valley, clear mountain air and soft autumn sun make the perfect setting for a break. At ViBee Liptovský Ján you will find modern rooms and apartments, the scent of wood and warm relaxation under the open sky.
Mountains without the summer crowds
Autumn is the finest season for hiking in the Low Tatras. The air is crystal clear with long views and the trails are quiet.
Straight from the resort you can walk to the Svätojánska lookout tower over the colourful valley, climb Poludnica for views across the Liptov basin and Liptovská Mara, or follow calm routes through the Štiavnica valley below Krakova hoľa.
Warm wellness after the trail
Our heated outdoor hot tub has been open since August 2026 and keeps you warm even on cold autumn evenings.
From mid-October 2026 we open a panoramic rooftop sauna with uninterrupted views of the Low Tatras. An indoor wellness area is in preparation.
In the village itself you will also find the natural thermal Kaďa spring, open all year round.
The outdoor swimming pool is out of service and closed for the winter season so we can focus fully on warm wellness.
Caves and underground adventures in any weather
If autumn brings rain, the temperature underground stays the same all year. Stanišovská cave is the only cave in Liptov open year-round — you get a head torch and explore the passages with a caver guiding you.
The Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology in Liptovský Mikuláš is interactive and makes for an easy morning indoors.

Autumn calls for honest food. Start the day with a generous breakfast and end it with a glass of wine or a craft drink in the hotel bar, where the quiet atmosphere makes time slow down.

September and October usually bring settled, sunny Indian-summer days with 12–18 °C. Mornings and evenings are cooler (5–10 °C), which is ideal for the hot tub or sauna.
